Descriptive study of two couple of terms through communicative therminology

Abstract

This paper describes the concepts of text, specialized text, and the terminology communication theory (TCT). Also, two pairs of terms are explained and analyzed as used in a number of discourses in Uruguay. The study is based on empirical data and information provided by experts that are users of the studied terminology. Finally, primary conclusions are drawn from a linguistic-based terminology perspective, a framework that has hardly been explored in Uruguay.
