Mobile-assisted language learning: A teaching experience with QR codes

Elisa Sartor

Abstract

This work focuses on a mobile-assisted language learning exercise conducted during a seminar on teaching of Spanish as a second language and information and communication technology (ICT), offered to undergraduate students who may pursue a career in teaching. The objective of this contribution is two-fold: first, we intend to describe the constructivist framework and criteria that shaped the design of this activity; second, we assessed the results achieved from the activity by using a blind survey created on Google Form. The responses from participants showed a positive attitude towards improving their own digital abilities and applying them to the teaching practice, despite an initial partial lack of awareness about ICT and its application to didactics.
