Abstract
This paper presents a discourse analysis study of conjunctions. The four levels of analysis selected are: expression; presupposition; implication and implicature. The relations that coexist in these different levels within utterances led us; on the one hand; to limit the study and; on the other hand; to try to explain the presence of specific conjunctions within specific contexts. What we claim is that a conjunction indicates (signals) these relations.
