Abstract
This investigation is based on the study of verbal lexical-syntactic errors made by Brazilian university students of Spanish as a foreign language (ELE). We believe it is possible to study these errors by characterizing lexical-semantic errors which have been deeply studied in Applied Linguistics (LA). The corpora utilized is composed by final evaluation tests taken by the Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación (Universidad de la República) in the summer courses of Spanish for Brazilians. The methodology is based on error analysis. The quantity and variety of this type of errors that persist in the intermediate and upper level show the necessity to study them to make several contributions to the SLE didactics and pedagogy.
