El lenguaje infantil y la afasia

Antoinette Hawayek

Abstract

Child language and aphasia are two aspects of language which can illuminate the working of the language mecanism when analized using a theory which takes neurological processing into account. Striking parallels can be found between certain types of aphasia  speech and the initial phases of child language. These parallels can be explained if we accept; as does Biology (Danchin 1988); that there is an inate frame within which “interaction with the environment shapes a specific image. " In both types of language functioning certain crucial aspects of these images are missing; in child langiage because these have not yet been “shaped"; in aphaisics because they cannot be reformed or retrieved when a lesion has destroyed the necessary neurological support.
