Lenguaje; racionalidad y aculturación: consideraciones acerca de la ética de la aculturación en Luis Villoro

Klaus Zimmermann

Abstract

In Creer; saber; conocer; Luis Villoro establishes that increasing knowledge is a basic anthropological obligation. This implies both the need to justify beliefs as rationally as possible and the requirement to respect the beliefs of others. From Villoro's ethics; this paper deduces that the imposition of an extraneous language is not acceptable; but it is not possible to reject the self-determined modification of a language. The discussion involves a consideration of the cultural character of language.
