En torno a la categoría gramatical de tiempo

Abstract

This paper is organized in three parts. In the first; I take in examination several approaches to the study of a tense system. In the second; I pay attention to the concepts of the semantics of tense and sequence of tense from a referential perspective. In the third and last; I show with examples from the Mexican-Spanish speech some of the uses of the past tenses and their deictic or anaphoric values.
