La cuantificación actual en el maya yucateco

Abstract

In this work on the present number system of the Yucatan Maya some of the more radical changes that have occurred in numbers and counting in the Yucatan Peninsuls; such as the loss of numbers and the twenty count in Mayan as well as also the loss of numerical classifiers are analyzed. At the same time; new ways of counting in Maya are pointed out in which new forms are created that include decimal numbers; as well as certain innovations that are breaking the ancient order of counting elements in Mayan.
