¿Y esto qué tiene que ver? Algunas reflexiones acerca de la interrelación entre la enseñanza de lenguas y campos no afines

Abstract

It is a very common opinion among language teachers that second language teaching is only related to the fields of didactics and grammar. Language learning success is considered to be the most possible approximation of the learner to the monolingual native speaker and investigation in language teaching should be confined to didactics and grammar. Nevertheless; the impact of second language teaching on the nations' and the world's linguistic ecology is not an asset for all who will be affected. If we want to be able to understand the longterm effects; it will be necessary to extend investigation beyond didactics and grammar.
