Tratamiento de la sintaxis en el aula universitaria de ELE: cuestiones teóricas y metodológicas

Ana Pano Alamán

Abstract

In this paper we discuss some theoretical and methodological issues about teaching linguistics; especially syntax; within a Spanish as foreign language course. In order to overcome some problems related to current teaching methods; we present a method which has been tested in different courses for Italian students in the second year; Degree in Modern languages. It relies on the interactional treatment of the formal; functional and semantic dimensions of text and the pragmatic dimension of discourse. It’s goal is to develop the students’ metalinguistic thinking and the contrastive analysis between their L1 and the FL. Furthermore; it aims at improving their gramatical skills as well as their pragmatic competence and cognitive strategies.
