Creencias y prácticas docentes de la gramática en portugués: un estudio etnográfico

Abstract


This article presents a qualitative and ethnographic case study of a language teacher and his beliefs, assumptions and knowledge about the use of grammar when teaching a closely related foreign language as Portuguese is to Spanish. This study is part of a PhD research that analyzes in a qualitative manner the beliefs of teachers about the most effective way to teach a foreign language when grammar is a fundamental topic. An analysis is carried out of the daily teaching practices of a nonnative teacher at the Foreign Language Center of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
