Alberto López

Abstract

This paper describes the most outstanding characteristics of the Japanese verb to give a general idea how it wonks. The differences between Spanish and Japanese one pointed out to underline its relative simplicity since the Japanese verb has no person on number and it only has two tenses: present and past; though the conjugation is based on mood; aspect and voice. The paper is written for scholars of the Japanese language; but it is expected to be of interest to other readers.
