La muerte viva en México: refrán; memoria; cultura y argumentación en situación comunicativa

Abstract

La muerte viva en México (Death alive in Mexico) offers an approach to the culture associated to death through the investigation of two short genres of spoken language:“dicho” and "refrán”. Its expressions are studied in the semantic-discursive field of death; from the theoretical perspective of conversational analysis and discourse analysis. Culture and “refrán” show us the Mexican speaker in a profound relation and interaction with death expressions; sometimes joking; sometimes teaching; and; of course; also in serious death situations. A set “refranes” and “dichos” is presented; as well as a conversational analysis of one of them.
