La enseñanza de aspectos culturales en español como lengua extranjera

Soledad Cecilia González Añorve

Abstract

The research on language acquisition has had a great development in the recent years. Among there findings; there are very important studies about social-cultural aspects of the languages. Some authors; like Aston (1995) and Hall (1993); have made a great contribution in that field. Aston considers that “schemes” are part of the knowledge of a given linguistic community. Hall talks about “oral practices ”; that integrate generic linguistics and paralinguistics elements shared and practiced by a particular social group.
It is necessary for the language teachers to know these theories in orden to apply them on teaching social and cultural aspects of second languages. The students needs to understand the particular characteristics of communication of a given social group; so the can identify the sources they need in order to have a social practice in the group. The Taller de competencia sociocultural that I propose integrates student experience; analysis of situation and a theoretical model based on the studies of Aston and Hall. The activitythat I present is a telephone conversation.
