Abstract

This paper studies the pronouncements of some political figures in mass media as a resource to legitimate their positionings regarding specific issues. Meaning construction procedures are explained as reenactments of the tensions between the speaker’s own principles of organization and those of other actors. Adjustments at discourse level motivate adjustments in the way of doing politics.
