Le jeu de role et la simulation dans l'enseignement des langues étrangères
Abstract
What should be the place of role-playing in teaching foreign languages for communication? This article attempts to describe how this technique can be used in a first level French class. An attempt is made to differentiate between role-playing and other simulation techniques and the use given to role-playing in existing methods is questioned. Finally; suggestions are offered for the exploitation of role-playing in communicative teaching situations.
