Abstract


Mastery in cross-cultural communication and understanding in our uglobal village ” is currently; and will be even more so in the future; sine qua non priorities in college education. Therefore; this paper sets out to analyze in a multidisciplinary manner a selection of contemporary perspectives pertinent to cross-cultural encounters in order to develop guidelines for interpreting and improving the teaching and learning of foreign languages.
