Las onomatopeyas en el idioma japonés

Abstract


In Japanese there are two kinds of onomatopeia; the so called giongo or giseigo and the gitaigo. The first kind represents actual sounds; t he second is used to describe; symbolically; feelings; states; situations or even actions.
This article analizes some of the phonological; sintactic and semantic characteristics of Japanese onomatopeia.
