Consideraciones teóricas para la formación continua a distancia de profesores de lenguas

Laura García Landa, Dulce María Gilbón Acevedo

Abstract

The collective construction of a pedagogical model related to a specific context demands basic agreement in epistemological, theoretical, methodological and instrumental levels. The authors identify three important areas in the construction of such a model: teacher development, applied linguistics and distance education. In this paper, some theoretical remarks in these areas and two underlying values, knowledge construction and interactivity, are included within the framework of the project “Applied linguistics at a distance: continuing development for language teachers”, which is supported by the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
