Las lenguas extranjeras por medio del juego escénico

Ilse Heckel

Abstract

The methodology for teaching foreign languages described in this article is characterized by a kind of group work which enables students to transform structures and then contextualize them into mini-plays. Structural relations are combined with situations chosen by each group. Dialogues based on these elements are developed and then represented scenically. This methodological approach is based on the belief that spoken language is internalized when combined with body movement within a determined space; and experiences derived from the students’ own experience. Teaching techniques are suggested to motivate the learner as well as ensure successful presentations.
