Semiótica textual y traducción

Abstract

After a brief summary of the different linguistic theories in relation to translation; a higher level; defined as semiotic; is proposed. An overview of the different theories of text semiotics and translation is presented.The notion of text is examined; considering its communicative aspect which represents an essential element in translation. Semiotics is considered as the organization of meaning within a text; it will appear differently depending on the types of texts and language. A possible analysis of the text to be translated is presented to assure a better translation.
